Oppose HB 586
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a Louisiana resident and your constituent, I respectfully urge you to OPPOSE HB 586. HB 586 is a “one-size-fits-all” firearm storage mandate that would impose broad requirements on law-abiding gun owners. This legislation fails to account for individual circumstances and could criminalize otherwise responsible individuals for how they store their personal property. Rather than targeting criminal misuse, HB 586 places additional burdens on those who already follow the law, creating unnecessary legal risks for responsible firearm owners. Again, I respectfully urge you to OPPOSE HB 586 in the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice. Thank you for your time and consideration.
