Cherokee County residents are paying too much and getting too little.
Property taxes have risen sharply in recent years. Now you want to create new zoning regulations, a new zoning department, and more government bureaucracy funded by taxpayers.
At the same time, you are refusing to consider economic development projects that are eager to join our community and pay millions in new taxes.
That is the wrong direction.
We should not be forced to pay more to get less while you take our property rights away.
Enough is enough! We call on Cherokee County Commissioners to:
- Lower taxes
- Respect landowners’ freedom to use their property, and stop zoning
- Allow economic growth that brings new revenue to Cherokee County
