Oppose AB 1753
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a California resident and your constituent, I respectfully urge you to OPPOSE AB 1753. AB 1753 would expand California’s Gun Violence Restraining Order (GVRO) framework by subjecting ammunition possession to the same enforcement procedures as firearms. Red flag laws already raise serious due process concerns by allowing individuals to be stripped of their Second Amendment rights without a criminal conviction. This legislation would further expand an already flawed system, placing additional burdens on law-abiding citizens while doing nothing to address criminal misuse of firearms. Again, I respectfully urge you to OPPOSE AB 1753 in the Assembly Public Safety Committee. Thank you for your time and consideration.
