Connecticut: Firearms Industry Liability Bill Headed to Governor – Your Action Needed!
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a fellow resident of Connecticut and an advocate for Second Amendment rights, I strongly urge you to veto House Bill 7042. HB 7042 undermines the federal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), and has the potential to bankrupt local firearm industry members through a litany of lawsuits that inflate business costs to a point where opportunities for law-abiding citizens to purchase firearms, ammunition, and firearm components for lawful purposes, such as hunting, self-defense, collecting, and competitive or recreational shooting, are severely limited. Without the ability to acquire arms, the right to keep and bear arms becomes meaningless. Again, I strongly urge you to veto HB 7042. Thank you.
