Rhode Island: Oppose S.359A: Stop the Semi-Auto Ban

As your constituent and a proud supporter of the Second Amendment, I urge you to OPPOSE Senate Bill 359A, the so-called “Assault Weapons Ban,” which is scheduled for a vote on the Senate floor this Friday. S.359A is a dangerous and unnecessary piece of legislation that would criminalize law-abiding citizens for owning commonly used semi-automatic firearms. These firearms are regularly used for lawful purposes including self-defense, hunting, and competitive shooting. Banning them based on cosmetic features does nothing to enhance public safety and only punishes responsible gun owners. I strongly urge you to stand up for the rights of law-abiding Rhode Islanders and vote NO on S.359A. Thank you for your service to our state.
