Illinois: Take Action and OPPOSE SB 8 Today!
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a resident of Illinois and supporter of the Second Amendment, I urge you to vote "NO" and OPPOSE SB 8. SB 8 will make law-abiding citizens responsible for the actions of criminals and subject them to civil fines in the event of a tragedy, even if they did their best to comply with the law. The vague language in this legislation could lead to abuse, potentially stripping law-abiding gun owners of their rights, based on hearsay or vindictive accusations. Again, I respectfully urge you to vote "NO" in opposition to SB 8 which threatens Second Amendment rights. Thank you for all that you do for the great state of Illinois.
