Following the court-ordered property reassessment in New Castle County, school taxes have skyrocketed for many families. That’s because school districts are required to charge the same tax rate to homeowners and corporations, even though property values are rising much faster for homes than for businesses.
Counties can split tax rates by property type. Schools should be able to do the same.

Tell your state representative and senator: Support legislation that allows school districts to split tax rates fairly and protect working families from bearing the full burden.
