New Hampshire: NRA Education Requirement Passes Out of Committee
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a fellow resident of New Hampshire and your constituent, I urge you to SUPPORT SB 54 when it arrives on the floor. As amended, SB 54 would require NRA's Hunter Education and Eddie Eagle GunSafe programs to be taught in New Hampshire Schools. The Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program is a gun accident prevention program that for over 30 years has helped keep kids safe. The program was developed by a task force made up of educators, school administrators, curriculum specialists, urban housing safety officials, clinical psychologists, law enforcement officials and National Rifle Association firearm safety experts. It began in 1988 with one mission: teach children four simple, easy to remember steps so they know what to do if they ever come across a gun. NRA Hunter Education’s award-winning and 100% free online course is designed to help new hunters of all ages learn how to be safe and responsible members of the hunting community. From the organization that built the first-ever hunter education program in 1949, this state-of-the-art course is the most comprehensive online hunter education instruction in the United States. The 15-chapter, online sequence featuring attention-grabbing videos, eye-catching graphics, interactive modules, audio recordings and dozens of action photos is available at students’ fingertips, whenever and wherever they are able to complete it. Again, I urge you to SUPPORT SB 54. Thank you for all that you do for our great state.
Sincerely,
______
