Lawmakers in Springfield are considering a bill, SB 709, which would increase health care costs for patients, working families, small businesses, and unions.
If passed, SB 709 would take choices away from patients by preventing their employers from providing certain affordable pharmacy options, such as home delivery of prescriptions at a reduced cost.
That’s not what Illinois voters want. Recent polling shows this is what they do want:
- 78% of Illinois voters would rather pick up prescriptions at a certain pharmacy for a discounted price than any pharmacy at regular price.
- 65% of Illinois voters are satisfied with the current cost, quality, availability and accessibility of prescription medication.
We need your help to make sure lawmakers reject any bill that would drive up health care costs, eliminate affordable coverage options and undermine the quality of care for patients. Instead of raising prescription costs for Illinois small businesses and patients, lawmakers should focus on other critical issues facing our state.
Join us in urging lawmakers not to raise health care costs in Illinois by voting against SB 709!
