Michigan: Oppose Senate Bills 224, 225, 226, 331 & 332
Dear [Lawmaker],
As your constituent, I urge you to oppose Senate Bills 224, 225, 226, 331, and 332, which threaten the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Michiganders. SB 331 and SB 332 would impose sweeping restrictions on personally built firearms and raw materials—targeting lawful hobbyists and gun owners under the guise of regulating so-called “ghost guns.” SB 224 seeks to ban bump stocks and similar devices, despite the U.S. Supreme Court striking down the federal bump stock ban, reaffirming that such measures violate due process and federal law. SB 225 and SB 226 would expand “gun-free zones” in the State Capitol and office buildings, locking in restrictive policies that disarm citizens while creating exemptions for legislators. These bills do not enhance public safety—they only infringe on the rights of responsible citizens. Again, I strongly urge you to vote NO on SB 224, 225, 226, 331, and 332. Thank you for your time and for standing up for the rights of Michiganders.
Sincerely,
______
