Debevoise & Plimpton is a prominent law firm that signed an open letter to major universities saying there is “no room for anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism or any other form of violence, hatred or bigotry on your campuses, in our workplaces or our communities.”
Despite that pledge, Debevoise & Plimpton hired Tess Kim and Avery Bashe, two of Columbia University’s primary antisemites.
Avery and Tess were leaders of Columbia student organizations that signed a hateful proclamation blaming American and Israel for the October 7th terror attack. Their letter read, “The weight of responsibility for the war and casualties undeniably lies with the Israeli extremist government and other Western governments, including the U.S. government, which fund and staunchly support Israeli aggression, apartheid and settler-colonization.”
