Protect the Rights of 18-21 Year Old Gun Owners

Protect 18-21 year olds’ right to protect themselves and their families!

If a 18-year old is old enough to fight for our country and vote for elected officials, they should have the ability to purchase a firearm to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Dear [Lawmaker],

I am writing today to urge you to support important legislation that will prevent 18-21 year old Americans from having their right to defend themselves and their families taken away.

I stand with the U.S. Concealed Carry Association for Saving Lives in my belief that we all have a natural-born right to be able to defend ourselves and those we love… And that this right should not be limited for 18-21 year olds.

In most places across the country, Americans can purchase a firearm at the age of 18, but even with increasing crime and a more dire need to defend one’s family than ever before… Some anti-gun groups are pushing to raise that age limit.

Just think of a 20-year old single mother, for example, who would not be able to defend herself or her children because the law dictates she cannot purchase a handgun due to her age. Think about how Americans who are old enough to risk their lives for our freedom in the military and vote for our elected officials, would not be able to defend themselves against danger.

Further, it is never too early to learn how to safely use a firearm, receive training, and be your family's ultimate protector.

I urge you to fight for this important legislation that has been introduced in the House and Senate to protect our freedoms.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
