Texas: Support SB 1065

As your constituent, I urge you to support Senate Bill 1065 without any amendments. This important legislation protects the rights of law-abiding Texans by ensuring that License To Carry holders are not disarmed on taxpayer-owned property. SB 1065 was filed in direct response to the State Fair of Texas’ misguided decision to ban lawful carry on public grounds. It prevents lessees of government-owned property from creating “gun-free zones” by requiring that all contracts include provisions protecting LTC holders' rights to carry. Please stand with Texas gun owners by voting in favor of SB 1065 and ensuring it passes with no amendments. Strong, clear protections are essential to upholding our Second Amendment rights.
