Send A Letter to Governor Newsom!

A few weeks ago, California lawmakers approved Governor Gavin Newsom’s call for a constitutional convention of the states to consider a new amendment on gun control.

We need you to send a letter TODAY and tell Governor Newsom that you do NOT support any new gun legislation that would hinder your ability to protect your family!

Dear Governor Gavin Newsom,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding your recent actions to call for a constitutional convention to change the United States Constitution.

Your proposed new amendment to require universal background checks on gun purchases, raise the federal minimum age to purchase a firearm to 21, and prohibit the sale of “assault weapons” is a clear violation of our Second Amendment protections.

As a member of the United States Concealed Carry Association for Saving Lives Action Fund, I am committed to protecting my constitutional rights and my ability to defend myself and my loved ones.

The Second Amendment is a cornerstone of our democracy and integral to our nation’s history and values. Any attempt to infringe upon this fundamental right should be met with the utmost scrutiny and respect for the Constitution.

What concerns me even more is the potential for such actions to become a precedent, leading to similar legislation or executive orders in other states or even at the federal level. It is imperative that our elected officials uphold their oath to defend and protect the Constitution, which includes safeguarding our Second Amendment rights.

I request that you take back your call for a constitutional amendment and work to defend our constitutional freedoms. Our Constitution should remain a steadfast beacon of liberty and justice for all Americans, and I believe it is our duty to ensure its integrity is preserved.
