Texas: Support SB 1056 Today!

As a resident of Texas, I respectfully urge you to support Senate Bill 1065, legislation that protects the rights of law-abiding citizens by ensuring government contractors cannot restrict licensed handgun carry on public property. SB 1065 is a direct response to the State Fair of Texas’ decision to ban firearms from the fairgrounds—publicly owned property. This bill will require contracts involving government-owned or leased property to include a provision that prohibits the contractor from restricting the rights of License to Carry holders during the term of the contract. This legislation is essential to upholding the Second Amendment rights of Texans and preventing the erosion of those rights through private contracts on public land.
