A city employee in Knoxville, Tennessee was captured on hidden-camera admitting the city continues their DEI programs in defiance of the federal executive order.
Knoxville staffer Pamela Cotham said that their mayor was, “All in” on DEI and created their DEI office. And regarding the executive order, the employee confessed, “The work hasn’t stopped, we’re just cautious.”
Instead of focusing on DEI, the city should be, “all in” on educating children. Unfortunately, only 37% of their elementary students tested at or above the proficient level for reading. The same was true for math.
Tennessee has since banned DEI on the local level but Knoxville has not announced any changes to their DEI activism.
