The important land use text amendment for bourbon warehousing currently before the Frankfort/Franklin County Planning Commission is vital to this industry — and to our community. It will enable our hometown distillery Buffalo Trace and other local economic drivers to pursue smart growth, while also preserving our rural heritage. I ask you to vote YES to this crucial text amendment (with provisions for rural residential zoning and lower setback requirements) that will create much-needed opportunities for investments in our future.
